RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DESCRIPTION:
This 20-hour-per-week position requires doctoral students to assist in departmental faculty research, including conducting library literature searches, collecting and cataloging survey data, and performing other duties as assigned, such as attending and participating in departmental conferences and preparing presentations. This experience benefits the faculty and exposes the students to high-level academic research, design, reading, and writing, which will ultimately help them as they prepare for their dissertation research. The doctoral coordinator will train assistants to use the MNSU library system, APA 7 style, and the typical requirements of peer-reviewed journals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be admitted to the fall 2025 cohort of the Doctorate in Educational Leadership program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in reading and writing academic literature reviews, conceptualizing and/or designing research, and analyzing research data.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
SALARY/STIPEND: Up to $12,000 per academic year plus a tuition waiver of 9 credits per semester for two academic years.

Minnesota State System policy requires that graduate assistants must reside within the State of Minnesota for the duration of their appointment.
