Ready to dive into real-world marine conservation?
Join our hands-on internship in Mossel Bay, South Africa. Receive up to 8 SCUBA certifications, take part in shark research efforts in one of the world’s premier Great White Shark hotspots, assist with shark cage diving operations by engaging in responsible marine ecotourism, and contribute to local coastal conservation projects — all while building a global network and living by the ocean.
Responsibilities:
Assist with shark cage diving and eco-tourism experiences
Help collect shark fin ID photos for population studies
Support seabird rehabilitation efforts (SAPREC)
Conduct reef surveys and deploy underwater cameras (BRUVs)
Participate in clean ocean dives and coastal cleanups
Gain skills in benthic shark tagging, ethical fishing practices, and marine conservation outreach
Optional: train toward NAUI Divemaster and skipper certification
