Sports Performance Internship Program
Program Overview
The Fortis Sports Performance Intern Coach works with athletes of all school-
ages and in all sports. This person will be responsible for helping run
programming for individual athletes, small groups, and teams that aims to
maximize gains in sport-specific athleticism. As a coach and trainer in our
organization, you will be responsible for not only helping athletes develop
physical attributes like speed, strength, and endurance, but also for helping
them become better people.
Responsibilities and Duties
Train and mentor athletes in the gym, track, or field.
Assist in creation of training programs for athletes, small groups, and
teams based on their age, maturity levels, window of trainability, sport
specific needs, and current strengths and weaknesses.
Communicate with parents effectively, providing them with the reasoning
behind our training methods, goals for their athlete, and vision for how
we help their athlete succeed in sport and in life.
Help with basic administrative duties associated with running training
programs to include athletic testing tracking.

All majors are welcome to apply.
Strong interpersonal skills are a must for this position.
Intrinsically motivated to powerfully impact the lives of student athletes.
Ability to demonstrate physically demanding plyometrics, strength
exercises, etc
