Construction Project Engineer
The selected individual will review and create designs, have a hand in our bids and oversee scheduling and progress of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with field personnel, sub-contractors, and owners
- Reads and follows road construction plans, materials lists and guidelines, and applies necessary timelines, providing technical support when needed
- Attend pre-construction meetings and collaborate with the Project Manager throughout the entire project to drive it to completion
- Assist with obtaining necessary permits, and verify licenses, insurance certificates and reports necessary for commencement of projects.
- Request and compile material and labor pricing to finalize change order requests
- Assist Project Manager and Project Administration teams in collecting the information necessary to submit monthly project pay application packages
- Assist in the collection and execution of required close-out documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar field of study
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, Bluebeam and applicable software
- A working knowledge of the estimating and management of construction jobs
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with or knowledge of Bluebeam (or other digital take-off or estimating software applications) is preferred
