Accounting & Financial Professional Intern Position
Position Summary:
Accounting & Finance Winter Co-Op or Internship targeted for placement during Winter & Spring 2026.
Time frame is January through June 2026
Hourly wage is targeted for $18-$20 per hour
Part Time - willing to work around class schedules and ongoing commitments
Primarily onsite work with hybrid or remote possibilities
The future team member will assist the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting. We will provide hands-on experience in accounting processes, exposure to financial systems, work within an ERP implementation, and offer an excellent opportunity to learn and contribute to a dynamic and growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations under supervision.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Help maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
- Participate in audit preparation and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data flow.
- Perform special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned by the accounting team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Previous internship or coursework in accounting or finance.
