Intern Pipeline Compliance Data Analyst/Engineer

Work Location: Aberdeen, Huron or Mitchell, SD

Pay range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (first year interns $20.00/hour, returning interns $21.00/hour)

Employment Status: Temporary (May - August full-time, 40 hours per week)

(September - December part-time, 20 hours per week)

About this position:

The Pipeline Compliance Data Analyst/Engineer Intern work closely with our team to collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, specifically in DOT pipeline compliance. This position will have the chance to develop skills in data visualization, statistical analysis, and process improvements. This internship offers a valuable learning experience and the opportunity to work on projects that make a real impact.

About this job:

  • Collect and clean data from various sources to ensure data quality.
  • Assist in data analysis using statistical techniques and data visualization tools.
  • Support the creation of reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies to solve business problems.
  • Help identify trends, patterns, and opportunities through data analysis.

  • Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
  • Engineering or Data Analyst major required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software preferred (e.g., Excel, Python, R, or data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI)
  • Has successfully completed freshman year or above
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Must Provide GPA in Resume upon application
