New Voters Mentor
New Voters is hosting a virtual information session for prospective applicants on Thursday, December 18 at 6:30 p.m. ET. You can register for this session here.
New Voters offers a paid, seventeen-week remote spring program as part of our efforts to register 10,000 young voters. This program gives current undergraduates the opportunity to support New Voters in its mission. New Voters mentors work part-time during the week to directly coach high school students (mentees) to run voter registration drives at their schools. Mentors serve as the first point of contact for their students. Mentors largely work on coaching students, but do have the opportunity to conduct recruitment. Mentors will work remotely for New Voters and are required to have access to the internet.
The Spring 2026 program will run from Monday, January 12th to Friday, May 15th, with multiple holidays off. Mentors will receive a base stipend of $750 at the end of the program, provided the mentor has met all of the program requirements. Additionally, mentors will be awarded up to a maximum potential payment of $2,000 based on a prorated bonus structure. The mentorship application process opens on Monday, December 15th and will close on January 9th at 11:59 p.m. (ET).
