RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties are multifaceted. This position will assist with the administrative duties, as well as engage in required program projects and outreach activities in the CWP Program as follows:
- Assists with managing CWP data entry
- Coordinate and manage CWP marketing and web-based/social media activities (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, listserv, etc.).
- Support and monitor student stipend recipients in the completion of all in-program and post-graduation related activities and documents/forms.
- Coordinate CWP trainings, workshops, CWP BSSW & MSW meetings, lodging, etc.
- Assist students with completion of required documents/forms (e.g., reimbursement forms, CWP forms, and documents, etc.).
- Identify and communicate diversity events and training opportunities with CWP students.
- Organize and update information on the CWP D2L page
- Assist in annual update of CWP student handbook
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of CWP meetings
- Manage and distribute CWP applications to potential applicants
- Monitors student attendance at required workshops/trainings
- Assists with the managing online database management system (SONIA) requiring data entry from multiple forms to track stipend recipients’ documents and activities related to completion of academic program and post-graduation employment repayment obligations.
- Assist with the coordination of guest speakers and honorariums for the CWP and CW courses.
- Assist with the management of the child welfare budget
- Teaching assistant for SOWK 415: Child & Family Welfare Services
- Assist with gathering information for the MNDCYF CWP annual and site visit reports
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree
- Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by start date.
- Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated commitment to learning about child welfare and social work.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
SALARY/STIPEND: Up to $10,000 plus tuition stipends, dependent upon availability of funds, period of appointment, and assignment. Appointments made after the tenth day of classes are not eligible for a tuition waiver.
RELATED INFORMATION:
Minnesota State System policy requires that graduate assistants must reside within the State of Minnesota for the duration of their appointment.
