Mechatronics Engineering Intern

Flexiv Robotics Inc. (US) is looking for Mechanical Engineers to join the Design and Product Team. The Design and Product Team is responsible for designing and developing mechanical and mechatronic components for our next-generation industrial robotic manipulators. You will work with other product designers to create and refine new designs, build testing setups, and process and analyze data.

Responsibilities:

· Research and evaluate new technologies to integrate them into product development.

· Collaborate closely with product design engineers to create and refine mechanical and mechatronic components.

· Contribute to the design and development of next-generation robotic products.

· Assist in robot testing to ensure reliable and robust performance.

· Support the team in developing and refining simulation frameworks for next-generation robotic systems.

· Design, modify, and assemble testing jigs, conduct experiments, and record and analyze data to drive improvements.

Requirements:

· Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronic engineering, robotics, or related fields

· Proficiency in mechanical design, design for manufacturing (DFM), and design for assembly (DFA).

· Proficiency in 3D CAD software like SolidWorks or similar tools.

· Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping and design of experiments (DoE) for mechanical, mechatronic, or control systems.

· Knowledge of mechatronics, robotics, kinematics, dynamics.

· Experience with Python, C/C++, or MATLAB for data processing and analysis.

· Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.

Bonus

· Experience in robotics system design, integration, and control.

· Familiarity with ARM-based embedded programming.

· Exposure to machine learning for data analysis.

· Experience with robotics simulation tools (Gazebo, MuJoCo, PyBullet, or Isaac Sim).
