Human Resources Intern

Internship Details

  • Internship Term: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026 (10 Weeks) 
  • Schedule: 20 hours per week 
    • Monday – Thursday | 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. 
    • 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Compensation: $16.00 per hour and Earn College Credit 

Position Summary

The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team at McClung-Logan Equipment Company by working closely with the Regional Human Resources Business Partner, employees, and management. This internship provides hands-on experience across multiple HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, compliance, and HR administration.

At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will complete and present a capstone project highlighting their work and contributions.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist with HR compliance initiatives, audits, and special projects 
  • Conduct research and analysis related to HR policies, programs, and best practices 
  • Partner with Employee Experience to support employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and presentations 
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes 
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, document preparation, and maintaining HR templates 
  • Provide additional support to the HR team as assigned

  • Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization 
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment 
  • Eager to learn and apply new knowledge in a professional setting 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Education & Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in:
    • Human Resources 
    • Organizational Performance 
    • Industrial-Organizational Psychology 
    • Industrial and Labor Relations 
    • Organizational Behavior 
    • Or a related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Physical Requirements

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, and use of hands 
  • Position primarily involves sitting or standing; however, occasional tasks may require lifting or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
