Biology Research and Teaching Assistant - Masters Program

Hello!

I’m a Biology professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato accepting applications for a spot in my lab as a Graduate student. Responsibilities include research and teaching, ultimately culminating earning you a Masters degree in Biology within approximately 2 years. This position could begin during the Fall 2022 academic semester or the Winter 2023 semester.

·      My lab focuses on improving precision medicine approaches for the treatment of Lymphoma through the investigation of patient genomics and preclinical therapies in cell lines. We have several open projects.
·      Students interested in healthcare/medicine, genomics, or bioinformatics are encouraged to apply. You'll have the opportunity to mentor undergraduates with similar interests.
·      Tuition can potentially be covered 100% through teaching assistantship stipends earned by teaching lab sections of Introductory Biology I, II, Non-majors’ Biology, Anatomy, or Genetics.
·      Pursuing a Master’s degree offers interested students more time to take professional examinations such as the MCAT or GRE, complete required courses and improve GPAs, and garner research experience.

The applications are rolling, so there is no deadline. Feel free to email me at keenan.hartert@mnsu.edu to set up a meeting or ask questions. I believe that this position offers the unique combination of excellent research, teaching, and mentorship experience for any interested applicant.
