University Assessment Graduate Assistant - Office of the Provost

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The University Assessment graduate assistant will perform a variety of activities in the Office of the Provost to assist in program assessment and curriculum support initiatives. Duties will focus on supporting the annual assessment of student learning and periodic program reviews through organization and communication. They will work with system administrators to implement the Watermark Program Review program and train faculty on its use for annual assessment of programs and general education courses. Other work may involve assisting efforts to improve transfer evaluations and other processes related to the curriculum; and other activities associated with the operation of the Office of the Provost. This full-time position involves an average of 20 hours per week during the academic semesters.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • A Bachelor's Degree.
Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by August 15, 2022. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Enrolled in a Minnesota State Mankato graduate program with a minimum of six (6) credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing..
  • Demonstrated excellence in written, oral, and interpersonal communication.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diverse working and/or learning environments.
  • Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by start date. 
  • Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Attention to detail, professionalism, dependability.
  • Ability to organize projects, manage one’s time, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment. 

SALARY/STIPEND: Up to $10,000 plus tuition stipends, dependent upon availability of funds, period of appointment, and assignment. Appointments made after the tenth day of classes are not eligible for a tuition waiver. 
 
RELATED INFORMATION: 
Minnesota State System policy requires that graduate assistants must reside within the State of Minnesota for the duration of their appointment.
