RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DESCRIPTION:
Serve as a piano accompanist for the Department of Music and Entertainment Industries. Depending on experience, this may include accompanying choral ensembles and accompanying for private instrumental and vocal lessons. Depending on experience, assist with conducting choral and/or instrumental ensembles. Other administrative and departmental duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- Undergraduate degree in Music.
- Admitted to a graduate program in Music at Minnesota State University, Mankato by start date.
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
- Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by start date
- Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
- Evidence of experience as an accompanist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

SALARY/STIPEND: Up to $10,000 per academic year, plus tuition stipends, dependent upon availability of funds, period of appointment, and assignment. Appointments made after the tenth day of classes are not eligible for a tuition waiver.

Contingent on a satisfactory performance and available funding, there is a possibility that this
appointment may be continued beyond the initial period of employment.
