Graduate Assistant - Marketing and Social Media content creation for UG and Graduate Programs-Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering Technology

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The graduate student will work with the department faculty in the following:
1. Update the department website for content/videos/pictures.
2. Create new content such as videos for prospective students.
3. Create social media content and other marketing plans for the department to attract new students.
4. Outreach for the department for prospective UG and Graduate students (domestic and international).
5. Other duties as determined by the department.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, IT, Communications or a related field.
  • Admitted to a Master's program at MSU Mankato.
  • Experience with professional video editing.
  • Experience with social media content creation and website editing/coding (HTML, CSS etc.)
  • Enrolled in minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing.
  • Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by start date. 
  • Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing. 
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment. 

SALARY/STIPEND: Full time assistantship (20 hours per week) with $5000 stipend per semester, plus up to 9 credit hours tuition waiver per semester. Appointments made after the tenth day of classes are not eligible for a tuition waiver. 
 
RELATED INFORMATION: 
Minnesota State System policy requires that graduate assistants must reside within the State of Minnesota for the duration of their appointment.
