Graduate Assistantship, The Center for Sport and Performance Psychology

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The graduate assistant will work at the Center for Sport and Performance Psychology to manage the following administrative aspects: a) scheduling services for clients, b) organizing and facilitating community outreach activities, c) developing and distributing annual reports, e-newsletters, and other programmatic materials, d) developing and managing social media content, and e) other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • Admission to the Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology Graduate Program at Minnesota State, Mankato.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 for the last two years of undergraduate work.
  • Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by start date.
  • Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Effective communication and organization skills.
  • Good academic standing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

SALARY/STIPEND: A full-time 20 hours per week graduate assistantship includes a stipend of up to $5,000 per semester ($10,000 per academic year).  Appointments made after the tenth day of classes are not eligible for a tuition waiver. 

RELATED INFORMATION: 

Minnesota State System policy requires that graduate assistants must reside within the State of Minnesota for the duration of their appointment.
