RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Marketing and promotion of university scholarship program application tool, Scholarship Finder.
- Represent and promote tool to prospective and current students at Resource Fairs and other university outreach opportunities.
- Coordinate university Scholarship Fair annually in January.
- Execute university scholarship communication plan. - Web content development and content generation. Create content for and build Scholarships Office website. Research and vet external scholarship opportunities for current students and provide student outreach and application assistance.
- Scholarship application review and scoring. Organize and conduct scholarship interviews.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor. Assist with email and phone communications related to scholarships. Meet with students about Admissions/Scholarship/Financial Aid related needs. May include night and weekend work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree
- Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by start date.
- Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
SALARY/STIPEND: Up to $10,000 plus tuition stipends, dependent upon availability of funds, period of appointment, and assignment. Appointments made after the tenth day of classes are not eligible for a tuition waiver.
RELATED INFORMATION:
Minnesota State System policy requires that graduate assistants must reside within the State of Minnesota for the duration of their appointment.
